Privacy policy

     Kishiwada Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company”) places the highest priority on the trust of its users and regards the accurate and confidential handling of their personal information as a serious responsibility. For this purpose, it has instituted a “Personal Information Protection Policy” for the personal information of users, to ensure that all of our employees and affiliates thoroughly understand how to handle personal information. The policy is detailed below. Note that this policy also applies to any personal information already possessed by the Company. 

Handling of personal information

(1) Collection of personal information

The company collects personal information only by lawful and fair means. Whenever we ask users to provide personal information, we will disclose the purpose and details of how the information is to be used in advance. Information will be collected only within the scope of the Company’s legitimate business activities and only to the extent necessary for achieving the stated purpose.

(2) Use and sharing of personal information

All personal information received by the Company will be used only within the scope consented to by the user who provided the information and only within the scope of the purpose of collection. The purpose of use will be within the “Scope of the purpose of use” defined below, and only within the scope necessary for achieving the purpose and 

within the scope of the Company’s legitimate business activities.

  • To contact a user for business purposes
  • To provide information related to products or services handled by the Company
  • To respond to inquiries or requests from a user
  • For any other purpose that a user has been informed of and has consented to in advance

● Use for purposes other than the above

If it is necessary to use the personal information of a user for any purpose outside the scope defined above, the prior consent of the user will be obtained, unless use (without prior consent) is permitted by law.


(3) Sharing of personal information with third parties

The Company will not provide the personal information of a user to any third party without the consent of the user. This does not apply, however, under special circumstances in which the Company is legally obligated to comply with an applicable law or regulation that pertains to personal information.

(4) Procedure for disclosure, correction, etc. of personal information

If a user wishes to inquire about, correct, or delete personal information that they have provided, they can contact us to make a request. We will take action to disclose, correct, or delete the user’s personal information within a reasonable period of time, except if the request were to present a significant obstacle to the Company’s business, and provided that we are able to verify the identity of the user.

Compliance with laws, regulations, codes of conduct, etc. relating to personal information protection

     The Company will comply with all laws, regulations, codes of conduct, etc. relating to personal information protection that are applicable to personal information possessed by the Company. This Policy will define basic guidelines for the handling of personal information by the Company, and the Company will strive to protect personal information in accordance with this Policy, the Personal Information Protection Law, and any other applicable law or regulation.

Security management measures for personal information

      To protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, corruption, falsification, leaking, etc., the Company has set up a management system to ensure the accuracy and security of personal information by implementing appropriate security measures. As well as restricting access by outsiders to offices where personal information is handled and training and raising the awareness of all executives, staff, and other employees involved in handling personal information, the Company has appointed a “Personal Information Manager” to oversee the management of personal information.

Continuous improvement

     The Company will continuously review and improve its efforts to ensure the protection of personal information, in response to changes in the laws and regulations of Japan and to changes in the information handling methods and environments.
