About Kishiwada Steel

Message from President & CEO

Ever since it was founded in 1956, the Kishiwada Steel Group has contributed to the development of social infrastructure through the establishment of KISHI-KON, its own brand of steel bar for reinforced concrete.
To achieve sustainable growth, we have focused on a four-point action plan—(1) the stable supply of high-quality steel products; (2) environmental conservation; (3) zero accidents; and (4) the growth and happiness of all our employees.
We are the first company in the world to introduce the ECOARC electric arc furnace, renowned for its ability to recycle steel materials with high efficiency, and we have introduced block mills for round bar, so that we can deliver reliable supplies of steel products and help protect the environment. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring safe and healthy work environments based on our Occupational Health and Safety Management System. To support the personal and professional growth of our human resources, we offer a variety of training schemes and support the self-improvement efforts of employees.
At the dawn of the “Reiwa” period in Japan, we are all striving together to achieve new growth. We are building a just-in-time delivery system for our customers, accelerating globalization, diversifying our workforce, and channeling energy into R&D and the adoption of AI and IoT.
Ever since the advent of the modern steelmaking process by Bessemer in the 19th century, the iron and steel industry has continued to develop, driven by innovations from all over the world. We will continue to contribute to the development of social infrastructure by maximizing the potential of our unparalleled steel products. With a sense of mission, we will strive to play a vital role in fulfilling the duty of the iron and steel industry—to build the foundations of structures that protect the lives and property of people everywhere.
President & CEO, Shigetaka Mariko
